Medium Rare is designed specifically for emerging artists. The platform provides a curated list of buyers and sellers to help INSPIRE, CONNECT and provide a MEDIUM OF EXCHANGE. We have spoken to a lot of artists and creators who all feel the need for a service that puts an end to the “YOUNG STRUGGLING ARTIST” stereotype and give artists the recognition and platform they need to succeed.
WHO WE ARE
Samantha Ratiner, originally hailing from Los Angeles, is a student of Strategic Design and Management at Parsons School of Design in New York City. Samantha has a great interest of both Fashion and Art and thought up Medium Rare whilst decorating her own apartment and feeling the desire to display original pieces created by talented individuals without having to spend tens of thousands of dollars. Samantha also is the Creative Director of BLK Water, therefore giving her both creative and managerial skills and connections within the creative industry.
Charles Royle, a British-born artist and Fashion Design student at Parsons School of Design in New York City. Having classical training in oil painting and illustration, Charles understands the frustration of the artist not being able to compete with the art moguls and break into the art industry. While in New York, Charles has worked at publications such as Vogue, V Magazine and CR Fashion Book, giving him significant experience within the fashion and art network. Charles has a precise and tailored creative vision and can communicate the aesthetics and needs of young artists to the general public.
Samantha and Charles came together to create a marketplace that satisfies both the needs of the consumer and the producer, coming together to create MEDIUM RARE Art, a harmonic meeting place for the artists and the buyers to connect.
